Animated Collage Archive - 2020
Near the beginning of the first Covid lockdown in 2020, I wanted to create work that people could engage with at home. I had been experimenting with collage in my work which left me with a pile of animals, objects and people cut out and ready. Working with my partner I used traditional animation techniques to bring my work to life and into people’s homes, with the hope of creating connection in a time of such isolation.
During this time I also wanted to express my immense gratitude for the NHS staff and key workers that kept us safe and kept the country going. In this work, I chose the Royal Academy of the Arts building as its one of my favourite places in London and its a building that has helped me during difficult times.
